I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again. My sister is super crafty. She knocks out projects in one evening that would literally take me weeks. It’s incredible. I, on the other hand, have a pile of halfway finished projects sitting around the apartment, for which I fully cast the blame upon Pinterest. There are so many things I want to do! So many cute decorating ideas! But who on earth has the time to do all of those things? I have plans to make a list of the most important craft projects, and knock them out in that order (starting with the partially completed ones scattered around the bedroom). A few things on my list:
-Christmas stockings (I have a few months to complete this, so I think it can be done.)
-finish painting the bench, and reassemble it! (you may remember the bench from the art fair back in August.)
-map picture frames (an idea from Pinterest, of course, where you use maps as the matting for picture frames with photos of your travels. We have an empty frame hanging on the wall, waiting for a photo of our trip to the Northwest.)
Maybe I’ll knock a few of these things out this weekend…but let’s be realistic. Probably not.
Anywho, Amanda came over for dinner last night with a craft idea in hand. She picked up some fabric on clearance a few months ago and thought that we could make scarves. So we pulled out the ol’ ironing board and some crazy type of paper that you simply iron to make things stick, and got to work. We ended up with these cute little scarves, with no sewing necessary! That’s my kind of project, kids. Here’s the final product:
Happy crafting! I have to get back to browsing Pinterest.
