We’re having a pretty low key Halloween this year. We live in an apartment complex, so there are no trick-or-treaters. We don’t have any Halloween festivities to attend. We didn’t come up with any clever Halloween costumes (but I did enjoy all of the employees in costume at the grocery store this morning).
Instead, we’re spending this Halloween celebrating the end of Eric’s midterms, along with the first stress-free evening for Eric in weeks.
And what better way to celebrate both Halloween and the end of midterms than with cupcakes and cake balls (that turned out looking a little bit like ghosts due to my lack of cake ball dipping skills)? But rather than watching scary movies, we’re proving to be true children of the 90’s by watching that classic Boy Meets World episode (“the white janitor,” as it was called in my house growing up) that I can quote by heart.
Every holiday is a little better with the wisdom of George Feeny.
Happy Halloween!
