For our second day of fun in California, Eric’s parents took us to our favorite lunch spot, Cordiano Winery. I did a lot of raving about this place when we visited back in March, so I’ll only repeat myself a little bit. The view is spectacular. The brick oven pizzas are delicious. And the breadsticks are what heaven would be like if heaven were made of dough.
After stuffing ourselves with pizza and breadsticks, we drove to Julian, a little mountain town east of San Diego. It’s essentially a tourist town with lots of little shops and apple pie stores. Apparently I didn’t take any photos of the place, but we did pick up some delicious apple tarts from the grumpy pie maker at one of the apple shops.
