Attention, Portlandians! This is what Washington Park and the International Rose Test Garden look like in October.
It’s this magical place where summer and fall are happening simultaneously. The trees are magnificently colored, and somehow, the roses are still in bloom.
I jogged up to Washington Park on this drizzly morning (okay, I mostly walked up all those stairs), just to see if anything pretty was happening. I think I might prefer the park and rose garden in the rain. I had the whole place to myself, and the colors really popped against that gray sky. Aside from missing out on views of Mount Hood, it was pretty great.
I suppose it’s poor form to fill a blog post with strictly phone photos, but I hope you’ll forgive me for not running with my real camera.
Get yourself to Washington Park this month!
