Here it is, folks! The official apartment tour.
We’ve been living here for 7 weeks or so, and although we still have some art to hang, some furniture to upgrade (our mis-matched rescued-from-the-trash chairs are becoming more and more of an eyesore), I figured it could be forever before I feel officially settled enough to show photos. So thanks to the prodding of a few friends, here’s the place (all 609 square feet of it):
The entryway:
The bedroom:
Favorite feature? The washer and dryer that are IN our apartment. Our last apartment’s laundry area was in a separate room underneath our apartment, so we had to go outside to do laundry, which is not super enticing when it’s cold, rainy, or snowy. But now we can do laundry all day! And it’s right next to the closet! Perfecto!
The kitchen/living room:
We bought this sweet kitchen cart at IKEA, and it has totally solved my lack-of-counter-space complaint. Plus, I can now chop vegetables anywhere in the apartment, since the island is on wheels. What a time to be alive.
And here’s the best part: the enormous windows, which still pale in comparison to the enormous sliding door windows in our last place, but I’ll take what I can get.
The bathroom:
Here’s to living small!

You’ll make wonderful memories here! Each place you live carries special thoughts. When you live in that big house (with the mother-in-law quarters) you’ll think back fondly of these times!!
