I know the rest of the country is sick and tired of snow, but in the Ringer house, we’re digging it.
After no snow last winter, we had pretty low expectations for our second winter in Eugene. But the sky has delivered, my friends. We’re currently enjoying our second big ‘ole snowstorm of the season. And since we live in a town with only one snow plow (supposedly; I haven’t actually fact-checked that one), everything basically shuts down around here when it snows. And it has been snowing non-stop for about 36 hours. Which means we got to enjoy a lovely day off from our responsibilities.
Naturally, we took a long walk through the snow.
Other snow day activities included coffee drinking, White Collar binging, reading for fun, and a walk to the grocery store for snow day essentials: yogurt, milk, Nutella, and frozen pizza. Good health habits go out the window when there’s snow on the ground (and when you know the recipe for Nutella hot chocolate).
We’re estimating we have around 7 inches of snow right now, with another few inches expected overnight. Bring it on, winter.

We’ve had snow on the ground since Sunday night (I know…I can’t believe it either) and I think it is beautiful and I would like more. Always more.

Totally not normal for Oregon! I think the last time we had this much snow was in 1993! LOL I was in 6th grade and it was awesome 😉

That’s what everyone keeps saying! But I love it so much that I’m going to pretend it snows all the time here. It’s so beautiful!
