It’s been 5 years, 4 apartments, 3 cities, 2 states, and 1 broken bone since we got married.
(For those of you wondering why Eric is sporting such a stylish sling in these photos, it’s because he broke his collarbone last weekend. Yikes, indeed.)
We celebrated our fifth anniversary over the weekend with a picnic dinner outside the Vista House at Crown Point while we watched the sun set over the Columbia River.
The Vista House already has pretty darn impressive views of the Columbia River Gorge, but when you add a sunset, it’s a real winner.
We were quite the spectacle with our picnic blanket spread over the stairs, but I’d like to think everyone else was just a little jealous they hadn’t thought of bringing food to enjoy.
We’re hoping to celebrate our 5-year milestone a little bigger this fall, with a backpacking trip in the Wallowa Mountains (depending on how that broken bone heals).
For a quick recap (and photos!) of how we celebrated the last 4 anniversaries, check out this post. And read about last year’s anniversary (one of my personal favorites), which we spent sleeping in our car and climbing the South Sister.
Here’s to a lifetime of anniversaries and adventures!
